AN / APS-147 Multi-Mode Radar
Maritime Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) The APS 147 is maritime multi mission radar seen here fitted to the MH 60 ‘Romeo’, the USN’s Maritime Dominance Helicopter. The APS 147 features the latest ISAR/SAR imaging algorithms and has enhanced small target / periscope detection modes. This radar has a fully integrated internal IFF interrogator and provides unprecedented, surveillance, ASW and ASuW capabilities to the warfighter. See PDF Link for further information
APS-143C(V)3/OceanEyeTM Maritime Surveillance Imaging and Tracking Radar System
The APS-143 OceanEye series of surveillance, tracking and imaging radars are the lightest, most cost effective pulse compression radars of their types in existence. They have been installed on numerous and varied manned and unmanned airborne platforms, including fixed-wing, lighter-than- air aerostats, rotary wing and UAVs. Various versions of the APS-143 radar provide the lowest cost solution for all maritime/ground surveillance missions requiring high performance, accuracy and reliability. US Coastguard HC-144A fitted with APS 143C(V)3
The latest OceanEye configuration, designated APS-143C(V)3, and its predecessors, have been used for a variety of missions that include airborne maritime patrol, fisheries protection, surveillance, range surveillance, drug interdiction, and search and rescue. The APS-143C(V)3 is optimized for, and demonstrates excellent target detection and sea clutter rejection in high sea states in all of these maritime applications. The radar’s rugged construction and its ability to detect small targets in high sea states makes it an excellent choice for mixed roles and demanding tasks. The efficient package design and lightweight provides all the required maritime capabilities, with a minimum consumption of critical airframe space and payload. The Enhanced OceanEye APS-143C(V)3 also features video, Track-While-Scan (TWS) and MIL-STD-1553B data output to a central computer. Data transmission in other formats, including Ethernet, can be readily provided. The TWS function is capable of tracking airborne and/or surface targets, and provides continuous updates on every scan. An output can be provided for in-flight recording in the optional imaging modes. See Link for further information
