RDR 1500B

The 1500B is a search and surveillance and Weather Avoidance Radar System, designed to provide multi-mode radar capability for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft in a multitude of low and medium altitude maritime missions. The primary mission of theRDR-1500B is maritime airborne search and surveillance.  Secondary missions include terrain mapping, weather beacon navigation and display of navigation information from the aircraft navigation system.  The system is also night vision goggle compatible.

RDR 1700

The RDR-1700 is a lightweight, X-band, 360-degree (belly-mount) or 120-degree scanning (nose-mount) digital colour radar system.  The three Line Replaceable Units (Lures) include: antenna/pedestal unit, the receiver-transmitter unit and the interface unit. lance. The primary role ofthe RDR-1700 remains airborne search and surveillance while secondary roles include terrain mapping, weather avoidance and beacon navigation. This radar system was pecifically developed for glass cockpit integration. A 20-target Track-While-Scan (TWS) capability is integral to this system.  All radar controls are handled via a joystick, cockpit display, and bezel mounted key switches.
